About topic Metadata
Metadata is data that defines and describes data and processes. They are needed in the production and interpretation of statistics.
The Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic produces and maintains statistical classifications, code lists, correspondences between code lists, glossary of terms and quality reports. It ensures their compliance with legally binding acts of the European Union, international norms and international standards and publishes them on its website. The classifications and selected code lists issued by decree are produced by the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with other bodies that carry out state statistics.
